“I love this house. I couldn’t understand my life without that cherry orchard.”
(The Cherry Orchard – A Chekhov)
In this bright, spacious room, we take you on a trip around the province. The painting by Alfredo (al-to.it). ‘Vernice Fresca’ (Fresh Paint) was shown in an exhibition in Vignola, to celebrate the Durone Nero, a variety of cherry for which this lovely village between Bologna and Modena has become well-known, as well as being famous for its Barozzi cake (with a secret recipe). For more than 30 years, this village has hosted a music festival, Jazz in’it, which explains why we chose ‘Un po’ di jazz sotto la neve’ (A little jazz under the snow) as the second painting.
Music easily leads us from Vignola to Bologna: their musicians, jazz festivals and clubs are world famous. For further information, please take a look at our ‘What to Do’ page.
The room has a minibar, air conditioning, wi-fi, safe and Smart TV. The original curtains on the windows have been specially made for our rooms by the designer Angela Fuschini, from Animavolubile. The Kartell bedside table, designed in the 1960s is another art item. A comfy double bed, with Aloe Vera infused memory foam pillows will accompany you gently into the arms of Morpheus. A single third bed is also available.
In the bathroom, which also has a window, there is a designer shower, towels and courtesy kit.
The room is for non-smokers. We love and respect animals, but we cannot accept them in the apartment.
